Equipment Financing

Spread the cost of productive business equipment over time while preserving cash for operations. Match the agreement to the asset’s useful life and your ownership goals.

Product Overview

Capital with a clear purpose

Businesses acquiring machinery, commercial vehicles, technology, furniture, or specialized equipment with an identifiable vendor and cost.

Synergy Capital helps business owners explore financing options and understand the structure presented. Availability, amounts, pricing, and terms depend on underwriting and the funder’s approval and are not a guarantee of funding.

01

How it works

An equipment loan generally finances a purchase and uses the equipment as collateral. A lease finances the right to use equipment and may offer a purchase, return, or renewal option at the end. The contract determines ownership and end-of-term obligations.

02

Repayment

Payments are commonly monthly, though structures vary. Compare down payment, term, residual or buyout amount, and any seasonal schedule. A payment that outlasts the asset’s useful life can create a future cash-flow problem.

03

Cost

Review interest or lease charges, documentation fees, delivery and installation treatment, taxes, insurance, maintenance, and the cost to own the equipment at the end. Do not compare a lease payment with a loan payment without considering ownership.

Common business uses

A sound use of proceeds connects the financing to a specific operating need and a credible repayment plan.

Replace essential equipment

Reduce disruption from an aging asset after comparing repair and replacement economics.

Add operating capacity

Acquire equipment tied to anticipated demand and a realistic utilization plan.

Upgrade technology

Finance qualifying hardware or systems while understanding vendor and implementation costs.

What to review in the agreement

These questions help you compare actual obligations, not just headline amounts. Request the final documents and take time to review them before signing.
