New Hampshire Farm Forest Exposition

For its 34th year, known as the state’s greatest winter fair, the New Hampshire Farm and Forest Expo will feature many exhibitors along with free educational workshops.

Sponsored by the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension, the state’s Division of Forest and Lands, and Department of Agriculture, Markets and Food, the annual exposition will hold sessions and meetings that include a backyard and suburban maple production and backyard crop tree maintenance.

The sessions will also feature a conversation about the future of New Hampshire’s farmers markets and other topics such as accepting SNAP EBT and encouraging SNAP purchases.

Other subjects in the educational sessions will offer advice on chainsaw safety, food preservation and using social media. Also featured at the expo, the Bingo-style game, F.A.R.M.O. (Farm & Forest, Animals, Rural Characters, Millions of Laughs and Obvious Fun!), sponsored by the New Hampshire Agriculture in the Classroom and Granite State Future Farmers of America, will help attendees and children learn about the conference’s exhibitors while winning prizes.
