Memphis ranks 55th out of 240 U.S. cities for the amount of time drivers spend stuck in heavy traffic.
According to Inrix, a Washington-based traffic data tech company, traffic congestion costs each Memphis driver $872 a year and the city $347 million. The calculation is based on lost time, additional fuel expenses and the “social cost of emissions.”
