LifeSource Health — a health data access company with offices in Syracuse, N.Y. and Marietta, Ga. — will deploy its AtTheScene cloud-based mobile platform for emergency medical technicians in Ohio.
The company also signed a pilot agreement with Physicians Ambulance Service Inc., a private ambulance company in Northeast Ohio; as well as an agreement with the Ohio Health Information Partnership, which manages the state’s health information exchange, CliniSync.
LifeSource’s technology will give EMTs at Physicians Ambulance Service access to health data from CliniSync on all of its medical transport calls, according to the release.
“The AtTheScene app will be installed on all of our techs’ laptops, and we are expecting them to use it every time they have an emergency run,” said Jason Hess, a vice president at Physicians Ambulance Service, in a news release. “There are approximately 1.1 million emergency transports statewide per year. We do about 55,000 transports per year, and the information is vital to improving patient service and outcome.”
