Denver International Airport has followed up its record-setting year for passengers in 2016 by hitting a new traffic mark in January.

Airport officials said today that 4,434,862 passengers passed through DIA in January, a new record, up 145,430 from the same month a year ago.

The January numbers were boosted by a 2 percent increase in DIA’s international passenger traffic, as well as boosted capacity by the airport’s big three carriers: United Airlines, Southwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines.
