Asheville-based APAC Atlantic began work this week on a $30 million project that will rehabilitate a highly traveled section of I-40 in Davie County that is slated for completion by March 2019.

Marcus K. Kiser, senior assistant district engineer for the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s Division 9, told TBJ Monday that APAC began the 6.5 mile project that begins at mile marker 169, near U.S. Highway 601, and ends right past Farmington Road Sunday night.
