One of the new clean-diesel locomotives Siemens builds in Sacramento made its debut Tuesday at the California State Railroad Museum.

The locomotive was shown at a news conference at the museum. Later this year, it will pull passenger trains on Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor line between Roseville and San Jose. The $6 million locomotive will continue testing this month and then six of them will begin service this spring.
