The 2017 Super Bowl of Advertising on Sunday turned out to be a great evening for automotive advertisers. As has been the case in the Super Bowl for years, plenty of automakers strutted their stuff during the big game.

But in what may be a first in USA Today’s AdMeter, which tracks audience ratings of the spots in real time, auto commercials finished in the top three spots: Kia was first, Honda second, followed by Audi’s third-place finish.
