The lack of “clarity” on the project to rebuild Interstate 94 near Miller Park in Milwaukee County is one reason Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker dropped funding for the project in the state budget he proposed Wednesday to the Legislature.

“The plan put forward on the east-west corridor looked like a placeholder and we do not want to move forward until there is more clarity about it,” Walker said during a Thursday morning interview on WTMJ-AM (620), the Milwaukee Business Journal’s radio partner.
