San Francisco-based ride hailing giant Lyft has held talks Alphabet Inc. for an investment of around $1 billion, Bloomberg reported late Thursday.

Citing people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg reports that the billion-dollar injection would likely come from Alphabet’s private equity silo CapitalG or directly from Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) itself.
