According to the Shelby County Reporter, the widening of Alabama 119 in Alabaster could take years if right of way agreements aren’t secured in a timely fashion.

Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood engineer Keith Strickland said his company will likely take the rest of the year to design the project, which will then be followed by a lengthy approval and right of way process. Strickland’s firm will present plans to the Alabama Department of Transportation once the plans are about 60 percent finished.
