Quietly, luxury electric carmaker Tesla Inc. is hard at work on a self-driving electric semi truck it hopes to unveil to the public in September.
The company recently met with officials in Nevada to talk about testing its forthcoming trucks on public roads using a mix of autonomous driving technology and “platooning,” where trucks drive close to one another, and move as a single unit, Reuters reports.
