Lyft looks to be quite serious about making Chicago ground zero for its efforts to compete against ride-sharing giant Uber.

Lyft is expected to unveil in the very near future a “hub” facility on Chicago’s near northwest side.

The new facility will be not only an office for some 30 Lyft Midwest region management staff, but also a place for Lyft drivers to come to hang out and get support services they may need to do the job of transporting customers around the Chicago metro area.
