The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded $5.6 million to an Ohio company to repair what it called critical dams along the Ohio River.

C.J. Mahan Construction Co. LLC of Grove City, Ohio, was hired to remove dam lift gates and do other work at the Montgomery Lock and Dam on the Ohio River in Monaca, Beaver County. There have been temporary repairs made to the dams but more work needed to be done, according to a news release from the Army Corps of Engineers.
