Matson Inc. said Monday that it will introduce service to Tahiti, providing twice a month arrivals from the U.S. Mainland and Honolulu to French Polynesia.
By adding Papeete, Tahiti as a port of call, Matson (NYSE: MATX) will now provides export shipping from the Mainland and Hawaii to many of the major Polynesian islands, such as Samoa, American Samoa, Rarotonga and Aitutaki in the Cook Islands, Nukualofa and Vavau in Tonga, Niue, New Zealand, and Suva and Lautoka in Fiji.
