The Texas Department of Transportation is considering other options for the planned expansion of U.S. Highway 183 North, including ditching using tolls on the project, which is north of MoPac Expressway.
The impetus is pushback from Texas lawmakers amid increased anti-toll rhetoric, the Austin American-Statesman reports.
