The government recently raked in thousands of dollars worth of fines from three major airlines.

The U.S. Transportation Department cited Frontier Airlines, American Airlines (Nasdaq: AAL) and Delta Air Lines(NYSE: DAL) for violating rules aimed at protecting consumers.
