Transit security officers and Phoenix Police were out in force Wednesday morning cracking down on fare hoppers and scofflaws on Metro light rail.
Police and the transit cops were out en masse at the Metro stop near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. That stop is at 44th and Washington streets in Phoenix.
The stop is one of the busiest in the transit line and is used by students, tourists, business travelers and others.
