Spirit Airlines reported an increase in traffic in June from last year, but also saw an increase in cancellations during the same time period.
The Miramar-based budget airline (NASDAQ: SAVE) reported that traffic, or revenue passenger miles, increased 17 percent to $2.2 billion in June from previous year, according to its preliminary traffic results for June.
It also stated, however, that it completed just 96.1 percent of its scheduled flights in June, down from 97.7 percent in the previous year.
