Cincinnati officials closed the lower deck of the Western Hills Viaduct Tuesday afternoon due to falling debris from the upper deck.

The city announced the closure via tweet at 4:34 p.m., “out of abundance of caution.” Rocky Perz, director of communications for Cincinnati, estimated that the entire bridge should reopen within a day or two.
