Arnold Palmer Regional Airport has snagged more than $150,000 of federal airport infrastructure grants to improve a runway.
The funding of the Unity Township airport program was part of $185.1 million in grants handed out to 107 airports in 40 states through the Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program. The grant money marked “ready to go” as of July 3 included $140,400 to widen runway 05/23 and $18,000 to reconstruct a taxiway.
