A study to determine the fate of Birmingham’s 20th Street will likely take at least six months and could potentially become a hot topic during this summer’s election season.
The Birmingham City Council approved a resolution last week that allows the mayor to execute a grant agreement between the city and with the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham for the 20th Street Pedestrian Mall Study Project.
