The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority said it suspended the Green Line between Government Center and Arlington stations on Wednesday afternoon due to a power problem.
The Boston Globe reported a fire near a wire above a train forced the T to shut down power between those stations.
MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said the power was shut down at 1:25 p.m. and would resolved by 4 p.m.
