New York-area startups and venture capitalists are making funding deals with the hopes of creating the next profitable company. Here’s one deal announced Wednesday:

Who gets: Software provider Transfix secured new financing.

Amount raised: $42 million Series C round. So far, the Manhattan-based company has raised $78.5 in capital.

Who invests: Chevy Chase, Maryland-based New Enterprise Associates led the effort, alongside Canvas Ventures and Lerer Hippeau Ventures.
