More than a decade after it opened, the Millbrae BART station has failed to see more than a fraction of the riders originally predicted by transit planners, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Millbrae was projected to process 16,500 passengers every week day, but 13 years since it opened, it only sees around 7,000 riders a day, a far cry from the regional transit hub that BART had hoped it would become by now.
