Servco, Hawaii’s largest Toyota dealer, said Monday that the bankruptcy filed by Takata Corp., the Japanese airbag manufacturer at the center of a massive recall, will have no effect on the company’s efforts to service local car and truck owners.

Takata Corp. filed for bankruptcy late Sunday. Hawaii was the first state to file a lawsuit against the company for its faulty airbags, which affect dozens of auto brands, including Toyota.
