Container service at the North Carolina Ports system is booming, according to the state.
NCP has doubled its container services in calendar 2017, and this past Sunday, Port of Wilmington saw the inaugural port call of the ZIM Shanghai – its fourth new container service activation in two months.
It’s a big deal, according to NCP, whose executive director, Paul Cozza, released a prepared statement saying that businesses want to access the markets where their products are sold.
