Where gadget lovers are rejoicing, many are in disbelief that this trend is still making headlines (what can I say, I’m an enabler). But, over the past few months, fidget spinners have jet-packed into the stratosphere of popularity, with both kids and adults alike snapping them up (and schools continuing to ban them). Most designs are pretty basic, usually having three arms that rotate around a central point. One company, however, knows that fidget spinners can be way more than that.

Enter REVOQ.

One spinner is all you need

REVOQ (pronounced ‘revoke’) is a high-quality, all-in-one, multi-functional fidget spinner created by WeFidget. The toy is a hybrid the viral fidget spinner and the traditional fidget box, which has components you can flip, click, rotate, rub and roll. But REVOQ also goes beyond this fundamental mash-up. Balance was a big design focus, with the result being that the REVOQ spins an average of 4 to 7+ minutes (I totally geeked out with this and can validate this is, in fact, true). Four spring switches give you varying resistance options and the middle gear can rotate independently with your fingertip, and there’s also a bump and finger groove for deeper touch feedback and stress relief.

Why put so much together?

As WeFidget points out on the REVOQ Kickstarter page, not all fidgeters are not created equal. With REVOQ, it’s possible for people to share a toy and still have their unique needs and preferences accommodated. That makes it perfect for families, occupational therapists, or kids to have on hand (literally). It has clearly struck a chord with consumers, too. With 10 days to go in their campaign, REVOQ has already shattered their funding goal by over 400% — and also have over 1,450 eager spinner backers waiting.

Even if you’re the only person using your REVOQ, you might want different experiences based on your moods or goals. You could use the REVOQ when you’re trying to focus on a project for example, but you also could turn to the same toy in your morning routine, rotating the middle gear, or rubbing the thumb groove as part of your meditation.

Why put so much together?

From the scientific standpoint, the jury is still out on which individuals truly benefit from fidgets or what the levels of those benefits are in different settings. But as that research continues, REVOQ creater and WeFidget Founder, Dale Lin, is hopeful,

“Last year, I decided to get into the sensory toys space and began selling fidget toys. I wanted to create an affordable toy that encompassed all the toys into one easy to carry toy. My hopes are that REVOQ will benefit people in many other ways than just entertainment.”

Nothing says science can’t be fun, but either way, this is some seriously cool awesomeness in your pocket.
