Updated forecasts are calling for 116-degree highs in Phoenix Wednesday instead of previous forecasts of potential 120-degree heat.
That would likely mean no more canceled or delayed flights because of the extreme heat, according to American Airlines.
American (Nasdaq: AAL) has canceled or delayed 50 flights at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport because of the heat.
Those are on regional jets that have maximum heat thresholds of 118 degrees. Today’s highs are expected to reach 119 degrees.
