Updated forecasts are calling for 116-degree highs in Phoenix Wednesday instead of previous forecasts of potential 120-degree heat.

That would likely mean no more canceled or delayed flights because of the extreme heat, according to American Airlines.

American (Nasdaq: AAL) announced Monday afternoon it was canceling or delaying approximately 50 flights Monday and Tuesday as temperatures neared 120 degrees.
