United Parcel Service Inc. (NYSE: UPS) said Tuesday it will build a new $260 million, 91-acre package processing facility near Indianapolis.

The company said that together with improvements to other nearby existing buildings, it expects to add more than 575 new full-time equivalent positions over the next five years in addition to gaining new flexibility for routing through its network. The new facility will be in Plainfield, Ind., west of Indianapolis.
