United Parcel Service Inc. says it will build a $260 million package processing facility on 91 acres in Plainfield, Ind., west of Indianapolis.
With the new facility — along with improvements to existing facilities in Castleton, Ind. — the Atlanta-based package shipper expects to add more than 575 full-time equivalent positions during the next five years. This also gives the company new flexibility for routing through its network, a news release said.
