United Airlines’ May 2017 operations report just out shows the carrier’s overall passenger traffic grew last month, even as traffic on the carrier’s regional flights shrank dramatically.
United said domestic traffic grew 4.4 percent year over year, with mainline traffic climbing 7.3 percent. But regional traffic was down 7.7 percent year over year.
