Three New York state agencies issued “emergency” regulations Tuesday governing Uber, Lyft and other ride-hailing companies that will begin offering service June 29 upstate and on Long Island.
The regulations from the Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Financial Services and Workers Compensation Board address many aspects of the industry, including disclosing fares to passengers and requirements to become a driver.
