Interstate 25 through the Denver Tech Center is expected to re-open in both directions time for Thursday morning’s commute, Colorado’s top transportation official said Wednesday afternoon.

The freeway was closed south of Denver because of a tanker fire that sent clouds of smoke billowing overhead and damaged the roadway. The fuel tanker caught fire after it struck a median between Orchard Road and Belleview Avenue.
