Memphis International Airport has received $22.5 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for the first phase of a new snow and ice removal area that’s coming in at a cool $120 million.
Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, announced Tuesday, May 30, that the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA) received the $22.5 million federal grant for the construction of a 345,000-square-yard de-icing pad area.
