These days, video games are becoming much more than a simple childhood pastime. Hugh Jackman’s latest social media gem proves that absolutely anyone can both enjoy and appreciate video games.
During his final tour as Wolverine with “Logan” in Japan, Jackman stopped at a traffic section and suddenly looked up to see something that filled him with glee.

As Jackman looked out the windshield, he was pleasantly surprised to see one of Japan’s famous themed go-kart tours. The Nintendo-themed racers sped by unknowingly as Jackman excitedly shouted “Mario Kaaaaart” and recorded the entire encounter.
Besides his dad-like use of social media, this video of the Wolverine getting giddy over this group of costumed Mario Kart enthusiasts actually reveals a lot about how video games are changing. The group of racers were on a special drive through the streets of Japan called a MariCar tour, a two hour Mario Kart themed go-kart tour with authentic costumes included.
These tours are completely legal, and anyone who wants to participate just needs an international license. These Kart tours are a perfect example of how video games provide new opportunities for both businesses and their consumers. Video games can both be a simple source of entertainment or something that pays the bills.
The MariCar tour business reveals how businesses can come up with innovative ways to get people more involved in their favorite games. Video games are a universal connection. Regardless of where you’re from or what language you speak, chances are you’ve probably heard of Mario Kart.
Above all else, now the world wants to see Hugh Jackman’s excitement realized, hopefully coming in the form of a MariCar tour in a Wolverine costume.
