Southwest Airlines has competition for Las Vegas travelers going to and from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Currently, Southwest is the only carrier with nonstop service to Las Vegas from RDU. But on Aug. 14, Frontier Airlines will add its own service to the mix, debuting a second nonstop service to McCarran International Airport.
Michael Walden, N.C. State University professor and economist, says the addition shows RDU “is on a roll.”
