Memphis International’s change from a hub airport to one that is focused more on lowering air travelers’ costs has resulted in an gradual uptick in number of passengers since a low of 3.5 million passengers in 2014. The number of passengers flying in and out of Memphis went from 3.7 million in 2015 to 4 million last year.
And, the hope for more is on the horizon, with Memphis International undergoing an extensive concourse renovation and modernization with a price tag of more than $200 million.
