Sunset Transportation, a third-party logistics provider in south St. Louis County with $91 million in revenue, rerouted one of its trucks that typically would have used I-44 to ensure an expedited freight shipment from Canada arrived in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Wednesday morning. The truck took I-70 to Kansas City, then headed south to Joplin and then on to Tulsa. Sunset Carrier Sales Manager Justin Danks said the alternate route added two to three hours.
