Google’s autonomous car company Waymo alleged Wednesday that Uber awarded an engineer it had poached around $250 million worth of private shares in order to buy his startup before he left Waymo.
Waymo presented documents that showed Uber awarded the former manager, Anthony Levandowski, 5.3 million shares for his self-driving car startup Ottomotto — two weeks before he left Waymo to work for Uber on an almost identical autonomous car project.
