Just as “ROAD WORK ENDS” is the road sign that inspires a feeling of satisfaction and joy, the sign “WRONG WAY. GO BACK” results in shame and fear among those to whom the message is relevant. Yes, that notice could be lifesaving news, but it is extremely embarrassing when it is aimed at you.
