Uber has filed a petition in San Francisco Superior Court this week to keep the city from compelling it to provide the addresses and names of its drivers.
Uber says it has previously provided that information for past audits and wants to keep the privacy of its drivers protected. The city argues it needs the data so it can adequately inform drivers that they need a business license to operate in the city.
