Ride-share company Lyft is negotiating with the Albany County Airport Authority for access to the Albany, New York area airport, reports the Times Union.

The talks come about two months before ride-sharing becomes legal in upstate.

Monday, the airport authority approved a plan to issue permits to companies like Lyft and Uber. According to the TU, the companies would pay $2 fees for picking up and dropping off and a one-time $5,000 setup fee.
