It turns out that Elon Musk doesn’t mean to just dig a hole from SpaceX headquarters in Hawthorne, Calif., to LAX.
He means to crisscross the entirety of Los Angeles with multiple layers of underground tunnels that will whisk vehicles from one end of the city to the other.
