Ellington Airport’s new air traffic control tower, which also is expected to serve Houston’s future spaceport, broke ground on April 24.
The $12.4 million tower is expected to be completed by the end of 2018, per the Houston Airport System’s April 24 press release.
The current tower, which was built in 1955, was damaged by Hurricane Ike in 2008.
