A month after approving the airport’s 2017-18 budget, the Raleigh-Durham International Airport Authority board of directors is pushing forward with its plans to replace its longest runway, which hosts both of RDU’s trans-Atlantic flights.
It’s an intense project, and one that requires a multitude of contractors – even just to plan the replacement of the 10,000-foot runway.
