A major transportation project in Alabaster could soon get underway.
According to the Shelby County Reporter, the Alabama Department of Transportation is planning to repave a portion of U.S. 31 near the Propst Promenade and South Promenade shopping centers. The Alabaster City Council recently approved a resolution allowing ALDOT to move forward with the plans.
The project would repave U.S. 31 north of its intersection with Fulton Lake Road up to the Interstate 65 overpass at exit 238.
