The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission on Thursday green lighted a $3.5 million settlement with Uber Technologies Inc. in connection with its investigation of Uber’s operation in the state in 2014 without PUC approval.
The settlement caps a three-year investigation into the incident that led to an initial $11.4 million fine against the ride-sharing company, which in 2014 began services in Pittsburgh and has since received approval from the state to operate as a transportation network company.
