Three teams competing in an international challenge organized by Hyperloop One to land the first working hyperloop transpiration system pitched Colorado as the perfect place to put the next-generation technology.
The competition has 35 semifinalist teams from around the world.
Hyperloop, floated by Tesla founder Elon Musk in 2013, envisions people or cargo traveling in pods floating down a vacuum-sealed tube, via magnetic levitation, at speeds up to 700 miles per hour.
